On Nov. 6th, 2017 the Regina Airport Authority donated $18,396.99 to the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation’s (SSCF) Smart and Caring Fund.

Golfers raised the funds at the Regina Airport Authority’s Charity Golf Tournament held at Tor Hill Golf Club over the summer. SSCF is deeply grateful to the Regina Airport Authority and all the golfers that came out for their generous philanthropy.

The purpose of the Smart and Caring Fund is to allow the SSCF to respond to areas of focus identified in the annual Vital Signs Report. SSCF’s latest Vital Signs report identified three areas of focus: Pursuing Reconciliation, Building Economic Inclusion, and Welcoming Newcomers. The fund grants in the range of $500 to $2000 to charitable activities that promote and enhance vibrant, healthy, and caring communities in southern Saskatchewan.

Past recipients in 2016 have included SEARCH, the North Central Family Centre, the Town of Indian Head’s community skate park, and Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan.
