In 2019, the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation (SSCF) is celebrating its 50th anniversary!
To commemorate half of a century of serving as a bridge between donors and charities in southern Saskatchewan, SSCF hosted a community reception with donors, charities, and community leaders on October 24.

SSCF Executive Director, Donna Ziegler saluted Founders and welcomed donors and guests for the historical celebration!
His Honour, Russ Mirasty, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan brought an official welcome and congratulated everyone who has contributed to the success of the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation’s 50th anniversary. “The donors, recipient charities, staff and board members, past and present, have created a remarkable legacy. Thank you, all, for your generosity and your vision for a Saskatchewan where everyone thrives and everyone belongs,” he noted.
Andrew Chunilall, CEO of Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) congratulated SSCF and extended thanks to SSCF for hosting the CFC Board’s meeting in Regina.
City Councillor, Barbara Young brought greetings on behalf of the City of Regina.
SSCF Board Co-chairs, Cheryl Zankl (at mic) and Leslie Ciz commended all donors, past Boards and volunteers who have contributed to the organization’s success.
Members of the North Central Family Centre children’s choir, pictured with leaders and pianist, entertained Anniversary guests with their exceptional set of songs.
