Capital purchase of an access van for the Meadows Residents:
SWAVI would like to request funding by Sept 1st 2023 to purchase an accessible van for the Meadows LTC Facility residents . Currently, not every resident has access to attend our community events or personal activities and appointments because of the style or size of their wheelchair. Barriers exist within the accessible transportation offered by the city of Swift Current. The Van purchase will create inclusion and accessibility for all by eliminating current transportation barriers. The Funding required will include the purchase of the van , insurance and driver training for a year. Our Mission: Silver Wings Access Van Inc. in partnership with the Meadows Auxiliary advocates for residents to have freedom and choice to connect with their community by purchasing an accessible van for use by ALL residents, now and in the future.
