Since 2021, September 30 has been recognized as a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day honours the survivors of residential schools, remembers the children who never returned home, and acknowledges the ongoing impact these institutions have had on Indigenous communities across Canada.
It is a time for reflection, education, and meaningful action. We encourage you to take part by attending local events, exploring Indigenous history and culture, and engaging with stories that foster deeper understanding and reconciliation.
