Cowessess Ventures Ltd. (CVL) launched their website this February at www.cowessessventures.com with the support of the the Government of Canada’s Investment Readiness Program (IRP). CVL received an investment of $10,000 in 2020 through the IRP to complete the project.
The website is now creating awareness of Cowessess First Nation in the business world and is beginning to open doors to more business opportunities. CVL anticipates that the website will help the First Nation grow economically and increase its self-sustainability. This can significantly impact the Nation socially and culturally.
Jessica Nixon, CEO of CVL, explains, “Previously, we didn’t have an online presence, so it was challenging for our shareholders and business partners to access a common source of information that features what we do. With the financial support of IRP, we could confidently take on the task of web design without putting a strain on our limited internal resources. It was very helpful to our organization.”
SSCF would like to congratulate CVL on the launch of the website and to all future opportunities which it will help obtain.
