The Second Lieutenant Andrew Naismith Benevolent Fund

In August 2003, Second Lieutenant Andrew Naismith, while training to become a Royal Canadian Air Force pilot, was tragically struck and killed near the vicinity of Canadian Forces Base Moose Jaw during a Physical Training jogging session. In honour of his name, a fund was established to assist children of Canadian Armed Forces members killed during their service, as well as other deserving applicants in the surrounding areas, with financial assistance for post-secondary education. The fund was activated in 2020, with a maximum bursary of $1,500 per recipient.
