Danielle Munson Memorial Scholarship Fund

In her honor, the Munson family established the Danielle Munson Memorial Scholarship Fund to award graduating, female hockey players from the Regina Rebels U18A hockey program who will be continuing their post-secondary education.  This scholarship is awarded in partnership with Hockey Regina.

Danielle’s passion was hockey, having played on female teams in Regina from her first season of U7 (Novice) all the way through to the time of her passing in her second season of U18. Starting in U15, Danielle converted to the goalie position and played her own, laid-back, unconventional style. She played for the fun of the game, being a team and sportsmanlike player and especially being part of a team comprised of all girls. As all female hockey teams are known in Regina, Danielle will forever be a Regina Rebel.

As a Grade 11 student at Michael Riffel High School, Danielle was an academically minded student and had selected her Grade 12 classes based on the post-secondary program she was planning on attending post-graduation.

As Danielle would have preferred, her family has endowed her educational savings to establish the Danielle Munson Memorial Scholarship Fund in her honor.

In partnership with Hockey Regina, the Danielle Munson Memorial Scholarship will be presented annually to a graduating Regina Rebels U18A player(s) who will be continuing their post-secondary education.

Your donation will ensure Danielle’s legacy in female hockey continues to be honored for years to come.
