National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Legacy Award to Don & Claire Kramer

The South Saskatchewan Community Foundation is proud to announce that Don and Claire Kramer have been presented with the inaugural Outstanding Legacy Philanthropist Award during this years National Philanthropy Day Awards. Every year the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Regina Chapter) seeks to recognize extraordinary individuals who actively partake in endeavors that give back to those within our community. Don and Claire Kramer, along with other recipients from varying categories, will be honoured at the 2019 National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon on November 14th at the Regina Conexus Arts Centre.

Don and Claire Kramer have been instrumental to the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation over the past 50 years. Their commitment to community reflects their values as people – trusting, responsive, collaborative and benevolent. Whether they were helping to build the Kramer IMAX Theatre, the Saskatchewan Science Centre, RCMP Heritage Centre, homes for assisted challenged children and adults, or creating scholarships for the University of Regina, the University of Saskatchewan, Campion College or Saskatchewan Polytechnic, they were building a community where everyone could belong.

The Kramer’s legacy will live on in perpetuity at the Foundation through endowed, non-endowed, donor advised, designated and scholarship funds. They’ve also left a generational legacy as role models for their children through their actions of volunteering, leadership, and donating to community charities where they lived, worked, and raised their family. Their commitment to the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation continues. Don was kind enough to remember the Foundation in his estate and the Kramer legacy in community will live on. The Community Foundation thanks Don and Claire and the entire Kramer family for helping to build a strong, resilient and welcoming community right here in south Saskatchewan.

If you would like to join us in congratulating both Don and Claire Kramer’s legacy, along with all the other recipients, you can purchase tickets to the Luncheon here
