SSCF Joins RBC Future Launch Community Challenge

Deadline: September 18, 2019

South Saskatchewan Community Foundation (SSCF) is pleased to host the RBC Future Launch Community Challenge, and to make up to $15,000 available to youth-led projects in six (6) communities, outside of Regina, in southern Saskatchewan, that will respond to one central question:

What is your boldest idea to respond to an urgent local need?

Today’s problems need more than yesterday’s solutions. We need bold new thinking to help meet the challenges of the future. The RBC Future Launch Community Challenge is a call to action for youth, and an opportunity to bring young leaders to the decision-making table as we build strong and vibrant communities for the future.

By applying for a grant and bringing a local project to life, youth will have opportunities to lead, learn new skills, gain experience, and build relationships in their local communities — all things that will help them prepare for the future of work.

This Community Challenge goes far beyond south Saskatchewan, participating community foundations will make grants and learning opportunities available to youth-led initiatives in 150 communities from coast to coast to coast.

Please note, SSCF’s region of focus for south Saskatchewan is from Davidson west to the Alberta border, east to the Manitoba border, and south to the United States border. Eligible applicants from the City of Regina may be able to partner with youth and organizations for projects to be delivered in other eligible communities.

To learn more about the Community Challenge and how to apply, download the Applicant Guide and watch the demonstration video regarding the application process.

The RBC Future Launch Community Challenge is made possible thanks to support from the RBC Foundation, and is part of RBC Future Launch, a commitment to empower Canadian youth for the jobs of tomorrow.
