Community Investment Officer
As the Community Investment Officer, Karmyn oversees fund advisor stewardship, ensuring the accurate and timely disbursement of grants from donor-advised and designated funds while meeting organizational and CRA standards. She acts as a key liaison between fund advisors and grant recipients, providing guidance, responding to inquiries, and facilitating customized recognition opportunities. In addition to processing grants with precision, Karmyn organizes annual fund celebration events and develops proposals to help fund holders maximize their impact.
Karmyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with great distinction and has over five years of experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in fundraising, donor stewardship, and advocacy. She has worked with organizations like the Saskatchewan Trails Association, Saskatchewan Polytechnic Students’ Association, and the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, developing fundraising strategies and supporting community initiatives. Passionate about giving back, Karmyn has also volunteered for CIBC’s Run for the Cure and contributed to initiatives focused on the arts, architecture, and empowering women and girls.
From an early age, Karmyn has been drawn to visual expression, from doodling on furniture to exploring fashion, interior design, and, most of all, painting. Creativity has always been her passion. Karmyn also has a deep love for ’60s music—pop, rock, folk, and soul—thanks to her parents, whose favorite tunes became the soundtrack of her life.
