2022 Vital Community Fund Grant Results

Through the South Saskatchewan Vital Community Fund (formerly the Smart & Caring Fund), SSCF supported 16 charitable programs for a total of $64,484.29. This Fund grants to charitable activities that promote and enhance vibrant, healthy and caring communities in south Saskatchewan. The purpose of the Fund is to allow SSCF to respond to areas of focus identified in its current Vital Signs Report. 

These focus areas include: sustaining rural communities, drug abuse and addiction, safety in communities, racism towards new immigrants and Indigenous peoples, homelessness and affordable housing, and mental health.

An Extra $15K Granted by Donors through SSCF’s Grant Catalogue

All South Saskatchewan Vital Community Fund applicants who were deemed eligible for funding by the SSCVF committee, but were not funded due to granting capacity, were made available for support by SSCF donors through SSCF’s Grant Catalogue.
