Former ED of SOFIA House | Lecturer at University of Regina

Tmira Marchment is an advocate and community leader in the GBV community in SaskatchewanShe first started working in the field over 20 years ago as a front-line caseworker at a women’s shelter, beginning her passion for shelter work and the cause of Gender Based Violence and has since worked in a variety of leadership positions focusing on women and children. For the past 5 years, she was the Executive Director of SOFIA House, an inclusive feminist organization that provides long-term housing for gender diverse individuals, women, and children who are experiencing violence. Tmira is also a sessional lecturer with the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina and sits on the board of Dress for Success Regina.
